I'm from Nor Cal. Born and raised... I moved to West Phoenix two years ago and I'm back in Cali this week for a visit...

It's been a strange experience. It doesn't seem like its been THAT long since I left...but so much has changed. I feel like I'm a stranger in a town that I spent most of my life in.

What's also odd...are the things that don't change. Like the first thing I saw when I got out of the car when we went out the other night...was a drunk sorority bimbo...

Ok. So I'm officially a registered enrolled student again.
It feels good.

It also feels terrifying. Here I am already working anywhere from 9-12 hour days at work sometimes... on top of having two children, one of which doesn't like to sleep at night... and I'm now taking a full courseload (fourteen credits-four classes) my first block back from my "break" from school.

I think I may have gotten myself in over my head. Probably.

I don't...

A friend of mine from back home called me a little while ago, just to "check in" and all that good stuff... we did the normal polite conversation thing...asked about jobs and families... then she asked the question that I hate being asked.
"What are you doing tonite?"
Of course, my reply was as usual... "Stayin home, watchin a lil tv...then goin to bed." Same thing I do EVERY NIGHT. I don't go out, my friends know I don't go out.
So my friend...

I lovemy babies...don't get me wrong....but if THIS DANG CHILD DOESN'T START SLEEPING ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE NIGHT... I'm going to literally lose my dang mind.
11:30 she woke up. I got up, filled her a cup of milk, walked to her room....and she was back asleep.
I went back to bed. 12:30.... she woke up again. I got up took her the cup of milk...she was soaked. I changed her, changed the bed, layed her back down...and she went back to sleep.
2:00... she woke up AGAIN. I had...

Being a single parent is hard. Being a single WOMAN at 25 is hard.
Combine those two concepts and you might as well just pack it up and accept your fate as the future "crazy cat lady".

Ok, so maybe its not THAT BAD....but it feels like it.

I've been "with someone" for a while. Nothing terribly serious, no "forever and ever" has been spoken yet. I'm just starting to realize how difficult this really is. He doesn't have children of...
