Yippeeeee! I just talked to Charlie!

He called me at about 7:15 this morning. He is in Japan. It was so wonderful to hear his voice. The emails are nice, but hearing his voice on the phone was outstanding! I am so happy that I got to talk to him. It also makes me sad, too. I hate not having him here with us. We all miss him terribly. But, I do have to take what I can get and the phonecall was super duper fantastic. He said that will probably be calling again around supper time tonight, so he can talk to all of the kids. Charlie did talk to Preston. I've been showing Preston the video of Charlie on the computer literally every single day. So, he definitely recognized Charlie's voice. He froze like a statue and listened intently to the sound of Charlie's voice. Austin and Reilly were still sleeping during this morning's call. Peyton woke up at the tail end of the conversation and wouldn't talk to him. She is a morning grouch just like her mommy. Although today, I was most definitely not a grouch. I can't believe that he has been gone a whole month already. It is going by quickly. One month down and five more to go.
