I thought for sure that Preston was going to be a girl. LOL His name would have been Shelby Katherine. No specific reason for Shelby. It just think that it is a cool southern name (I'm a Carolina girl, just transplanted to New England because of my husband's job.) Katherine is to honor DH's grandmother who passed away right before we got pregnant.

Kyra would have been either Luke or Kian (kee-an). DH liked Luke, and I favored Kian. I bet Luke would have won out because DH thought Kian was too "weird." I'm still holding on to it though!

We didn't talk about it until we'd known she was a she for a couple weeks. With a decision that big I didn't want to screw it up. She was supposed to be Cara Elizabeth Michelle - but my SIL the turd changed my mind (Elizabeth is her middle name). After we had her I started thinking about names really hard. I have names planned out for our next 5 kiddos.
I know it's OT, but my DH wants to name our next two daughters Sarah (his grandmother's name) and Tara. lmao. I know that's so corny, and out of his nature, but I agreed. They'll go by a different name anyway. They will be Sarah Nathalie and Tara Alysabeth - because I'm not letting go of Lizzy. Might swap the middles. Who knows.
And if we have a boy I'm dead set on Robert Nathan (my grandfather's name is Robert and his son who took his name died at 21).
We weren't 100% agreed on a girl name, but it probably would have been Natalie Linn. I liked Madylin, but I am not giving up on the name I like! DH really liked the name Natalie and told me that in HS he had a friend named Natalie and they all called her "Nads" and I was like Ummm no, our daughter (if it was a girl) would not be nicknamed that. Who calls their child that? Crazy DH...

LOL! My good friend's name is Natalie, and we call her Nats or Natty. I never thought of Nads! And we went to middle and high school together... kids were cruel, but that never came up!
