So we are lagging behind on that sitting up thing. lol Everyone's pictures are SO cute. I'm jealous! Cara will do it for oh, about 3 seconds tops.

s But she laughs all the time now. and it's so cute. Her favorite talking time is by far when I am holding her, and she is looking at her daddy. She will talk, and smile so big! It makes me happier than if she were doing it to me.
Today I laid her in the floor in the living room while I was trying to cook. She rolled onto her belly and went right for one of Frank's Dub City cars. I put it closer, and she LOVES it. She likes his cars, which is so cute! I took a picture with my 35mm, so I'll have to share it later.
I've been doing a lot of sewing lately. Whenever she lets me actually. Which means that I do it at night a lot, after both of them have gone to sleep, Cara in her swing. I have done a lot of cute burpcloths, embellished prefolds, and I made her a contour/PF out of an old tshirt. It fits perfect, and it's cute and soft. I have made tons TONS of flannel and fleece wipes. We also use those as wash cloths, because I don't like the rough terry cloth ones, and baby wash cloths are just cheap looking to me. I've posted some items on Diaper Swappers, but haven't gotten one response. Oh well. I guess it just isn't meant to be. So I guess I'll just stick to Cara's things. As much as I'd love to open an online store, or b&m baby boutique here with cloth dipes, it will never work. I'll deal with that. Next year Frank will either be farming or working at the new Ethanol plant, and should be making enough for me to stay home, which is what I really dream of.
It's kind of ironic. I'm talking about this and the episode of Family Guy with "SuperStore USA" is on. It's a spoof on WM. And that's what I'm trying to escape. lol.
We are so close to leaving for vacation. We're going in two cars, 10-12 hours. Gas, wow. But there will be 8 or 9 of us. Frank's driving our Suburban with me, Cara, and Heather - my sister. My grandmother and Mom will take turns driving her van with my 14 and 12 year old boy cousins. Heather was going to ride with them, but the oldest grinds her every nerve, so I offered. She almost jumped up and down she was so happy. And the possible 9th is my grandmother's youngest sister. She's the cool aunt. Pretty sure she's 10 years younger than my GM. My grandmother's a pretty cool Granny too. She's only 63, and even younger at heart. People have always though that she's my mom and my mom is my much younger aunt or something. I kind of invited myself. The invite was opened way before Christmas. We never thought we'd be able. But they are happy we're going, and have offered to watch Cara some so we can have some time to go somewhere together. Like couple time - what's that like?!
We are leaving at 3am ish Friday night/Saturday morning for St. Simon's Island, GA. I haven't been to the beach since. . . I really have to think about that one. It was between Freshman and Sophomore year, so I was 15. My husband really needs a vacation to get away from his crazy mom. He told her not to call, because it will cost him like $3 a minute there because he'll be roaming. Such a far fetched lie, but she believed it. lol I hope she remembers that though. Anyway, we're needing this! Our stay is from the 21st to the 28th. It's a condo type place veryclose to the beach. I'll post a link with pics on the Private Board.
I am beyond excited about this. I have a whole HEAP of cleaning to do beforehand. I do NOT want to come home to a nasty house. That is so frustrating. I want to be able to come home next weekend and relax. I believe that there is dial up there, so I may be able to get online. Not sure. I'll be on before we leave though.
Here's to a stress-free calm car ride there!
