Default Is it too late?

Okay, so I have been teeter-tottering with the idea of cloth diapering. So my question is: Is it too late to start CD and should I just save the idea for the next time we have a baby?

My only concerns are 1. he is now 14ish months old, and potty training will be a year or so down the road, 2. he goes to daycare Monday-Friday and has to wear disposables there, 3. he is a big kiddo and so I'm afraid the diapers will only go up to so many pounds (I've seen them "max" out at 30 lbs).

Once school is out he won't go to daycare. I wish I would have started sooner. I want to switch not only to save money (besides the up front investment of buying diapers & prefolds, etc) and to help his tooshie from being so irritated from being in disposable diapers.

Thoughts please ladies I'd appreciate it!
