Hi ladies. I had a son on Jan 10th, he was 2 weeks early.

I was just curious if your guys child is sitting up good and/or crawling or almost crawling?

I have a 2 yr old daughter and by 7 months, she was crawling, sitting up good, and pulling herself up. However, with my son, he is just now trying to crawl and doesn't sit up good on his own (he likes to lean all the way forward instead of supporting himself and sit up straight).

I know all kids develop differently, but it's hard not to be concerned. He is very healthy and the Pediatrician said him being 2 weeks early shouldn't affect anything. It's just kind of frustrating, you know? I wish he'd sit up good. I guess he's just a content baby

Megan does both. She sat up early and crawled early though. My son sat early and crawled at 7.5 months or so. He army crawled for a long time before that.

I would call your early intervention and have him evalutated if you are concerned. It is free. You can call the schools and get their number.
He sounds just fine though, but better be early about looking into it.

My son is just now sitting up well and hasn't even come close to crawling. I wouldn't be too concerned. My niece didn't crawl until she was 8months.

My DD is not crawling and still has a tendency to eventually slowly fall over when she sits. She's getting better at it everyday.
My DS never crawled and did a butt scoot instead. I can't remember when it started but it was probably not for at least another month or two. Now he's almost 3 and is just fine!! It totally depends on the baby.

My dd sits up and army crawls but I worked in an infant room at a daycare once and the babies all did different things at different times. I don't think its anything to be concerned about. When one baby is crawling and cant sit up, another baby can pull up but cant crawl kwim?

I would not be to concerned just yet. My little one was born 3 weeks early she sits up ok and is getting better at it everyday but she does still like to lean forward and she also still tips over . She is not really up on her knees crawling yet but she is army crawling all over the place.

All of them are different. My 1st DS was walking around 7 months and never crawled and he was 4 weeks early. The 2nd DS crawled at 7 months and walked at 9 and he was 2 weeks late. Mili is just now sitting good and is not even trying to crawl yet; she was 2 weeks early.
