Megan goes to the dermatologist tomorrow

I have no idea why I am nervous. I am not sure what to expect. I made an appt with 2 because the one in my town that I go to tomorrow, I have seen before myself and did not really like him. I figured it is close and if he tells me what I want to hear and am comfortable with it, I will cancel the other. Not sure what I am expecting to hear though. lol

And would this be rude? I have a mole on my face I want removed. Would it be ok to ask about that? During the winter it gets dry and itchy and gets scratched off. It is pretty tiny so its not cosmetic.

Oh, and if anyone does not remember why, the ped wanted her birthmark next to her eye looked at.

Here is a pic where yoy can really see it. It just depends on her angle and for whatever reason, the closer you get, the less you can see it. I also played with pb some.

I think they just have them looked at early to make sure they do not get huge.

GOOD LUCK

Totally would ask about yourself while you are there....after she has been taken care of and you are happy with the answer. I always do that at Dr's appts.....esp if I have all the kids with me I ask anything else I have on my mind -saves booking another appt!

He basically said it will not get darker, but will grow with her and stay proportioned. Said if we want it removed, we would need to go to a Pediatric plastic surgeon. No way!! I asked about laser to lighten it and he kinda blew me off.

We will just wait until she is older and if she wants to have it removed, we will do it, but for now, we will just hold off. He said the reason Peds want them looked at is because they used to want them all removed. I have another appt with a diff derm, but may just cancel. I will talk to dh and see if we want to look more into the laser thing.

I did. He just said I should not mess with it unless I want a scar. The mole is very tiny. I also had some discoloration and he said I have sun damage.

glad it is not serious. My sister has one below her eye that is noticible but she has always been comfortable with it.
