Well I was looking for support when I was going to start IVF. I looked up some sights, but I really liked SK's. It is pretty cool. I also belonged to JUSTMOMMIES I really didnt like it as much.. Imean it was good, just felt more at home heron SK's....

I joined when Adam was a few months old. A friend told me about it. She had a miscarriage and talked about this site. I would not have found it myself then. I never went to message boards. I am glad I did though. I also belong to mothering.com but it is way to crunchy for me to post much.

I joined the ezboard group DIO '01 back in July of '01. Then ezboard moved to SK and we made our own private board that we still all (30 of us) talk on every day 7 yrs later. So when I new I would be DIJ 08 I just came to SK made a name and joined with in days of finding out. I came in near the end in 01 and wanted to be here from the beginning this time.

The night I found out I was preggo with Ds # 1 March 8 2003 I was searching everywhere about pregnancy and came across this board - keep in mind this was 1 am til about 3 am in the morning.....But it was called something else back then - what Tanya typed ! i found it =while ttc 1ht i loved the format and it just felt more my style than some of the other bboards i tried. i still remember so many of you moving through the months w/ me when we were alll waiting on cycles and ttc!

It took us 18 months to get pg with our first and during that time I had a job where I had absolutely NOTHING to do except surf online. I found the ttc 6+ months and the charting board. That was 2001 and I've been on birth boards off an on here since.

I joined becasue my coworker, Rachel, told me to! Hahaha! Just kidding. She joined after her son was born in August and when I came back from maternity leave in February I was really bummed, so she encouraged me to get on and have a look around. I liked it here, so I stayed.

I was scared to death when I found I was pregant and was looking around for support and found SK. It seemed like I just jumped right in and we all became friends. I am on cafemom also but connect so much more with our group.

I found SK when I was PG with DD (now 4) DID '03. I was the one of the hosts on the board, coordinated our board exchanges, designed our website, etc. I did it all. LOL We splintered off, as most boards do and I became inactive on SK. When I came back to SK and PG with Preston, somehow my info was completely gone and I had to start all over again with post count etc. It was like I never existed here. Very odd. Anyway, here I am. I don't post anywhere else on SK at all anymore besides our board.

I became a member of SK the day of my first u/s when I was told there was no h/b at 8.5 weeks. I was researching the possibilities of misdiagnosing, when I ran across misdiagnosedmiscarriage.com, and on that site I saw a link for SK. I really liked the atmosphere and since my second u/s when they still confirmed no h/b and growth, I have found that the women here are so amazing and strong.

I think I googled something about TTC a boy or a girl and came across SK article. I joined in Dec 06 and Shane was still deployed at the time and wouldn't come home for another 5 months so I was just researching. So I jumped into a TTC board. I didn't post much since I wasn't DTD and couldn't update anything. When he came home I joined the 2WW board and was only there for a short short time, and then I met all you wonderful ladies in DIJ. I think my first post was about how confused I was to be an extra 2 weeks, and then you all reassured me that it is just a medical thing. Oh, how times have flown by and friendships have flourished!

I really don't remember what I was looking up, but I found the article talking about the things your friends should tell you about labor, delivery, and postpartum. I was so funny, and I read it twice and just laughed and laughed. I wasn't even pregnant yet. Browsing off the links attached to that story I came across the Birth Plan maker thing. I made my birth plan, without a dr.'s name, without an edd, just left it open, but put my wishes if i were to be pregnant at that time. Little did I know I either was at the time, or I would be in a few weeks. I don't remember the date I did it. Anyway. When I found out I was pregnant, I was sooo excited, but clueless at the same time. I found the bookmark, and set up an account then! I didn't know about the TTC boards, or I would have been there too. I think my first post was asking what some of the acronyms meant! lol imagine that. . . and I still have to just wonder and guess about some of them. I don't think we would do some things that we do if we hadn't been introduced to some ideas on here.
