We have our mobile up, but rarely use it. Trenton does like to look at the animals though.
We also have the Ocean Wonders Aquarium soother. Actually, we have 3 of them. Two are the older model and one is the newer one with the remote. We have 2 for DD - one in her bed and one that we keep in our camper. She's 3, and she still likes to fall asleep to it. We use the one in Trenton's crib all the time, and he already knows that it's time to sleep when we lay him in the crib and turn it on. Usually he's out within a few minutes.
I highly recommend it!!

Caleb has this one, And he loves it so much. It usually always gets him to sleep. Its light up in blue with a water fall. The sounds it so usual and soothing.

Fisher Price Rainforest Peek-a-Boo Waterfall Soother

He also has a hanging mobile, that show clouds that light up on the ceiling. It helps with the restless nights. And it goes on for a while and has a remote control with it.

Fisher Price Rainforest Dreams Cot Mobile

Posh if you lower the mattress down it should be ok. With the tv one thats in my link. It hangs tight on the cot. Baby cant get it off. Its actually hard for adults to put it on. But thats the whole idea. So it cant hurt baby. And it not to late for to get one for her. It might actually help her go down during the day in her crib.

Alot of the times, Babies get bored, and thats why they dont want to be in their crib alot of the times. Its worth a try

I switch between the 2 at different times, Just so he doesn't get bored with the one.

Most definitely we have both the mobile AND the aquarium. She loves the mobile in the mornings when she wakes up and she'll just play and watch it for at least 20-30 minutes and I snooze more.

At night I put her in bed with her aquarium. Love, love, love that thing. Highly recommend it! Puts her right to sleep.

I just took it down the other day because he is getting close to reaching it. Also when I take him out of bed he grabs it and holds on so I have to pry it out of his hands. We have the forest soother.

I think we are going to get it again also. I am just too afraid of her choking on one of the strings.
