Icon5 5th Disease?

I think ds1 has 5th disease.
Last week his cheeks looked red, but he was fine and not sick at all. Now he has a lacey looking rash. Anyone have info about it. I know at this point he is not contagious, so no point in worrying, but any info is appreciated!

I thought Mili had it a while back but she didn't. What I read says they just need an antibiotic and they will be fine.

My niece had it a few weeks ago and my parents neighbor is a physician. She looked at the rash and determined it was 5th's but that she was no longer contagious b/c the rash had appeared.
Before the rash, when they are contagious, its low grade fevers and diarrhea. They will have the rash on their chest or back usually.

Well crud. It's always something! From what I've read before it is something that should pass without any cause for alarm.

I hope he's feeling fine in no time and that none of the rest of the family gets it!

I think it is usually more concerning for pregnant woman to be in contact. Other than that you will probably be ok. BUT you can get a rash after any virus....my kids have had them before and it wan't fifths.
Do you think it could have been heat rash instead? I thought a fever came along with fifths.

Hope he feels better!
