Getting married is kind of like having a baby, you can't really explain it to someone, they have to experience it. But you can give some advice on being married and I'm sure we've all received advice from our mothers, grandmothers, sisters, friends, etc.
Tell me how long you've been married and what's the best advice you've ever received.
I unfortunately didn't have a mom when I got married (she passed away when I was 25), but I've been married almost 18 years and the best advice I have is to treat the small stuff like the small stuff. Don't argue or put your foot down for stuff that doesn't matter just to prove a point. Save putting your foot down for the stuff that really, really matters to you. Because if you don't argue about the little stuff, then your husband will know you're serious and really mean business when you do
