Large projects coming in India
Large integrated projects have hospitals and schools which ensure that residents need not venture out for anything. Significantly these projects provide the entire urban infrastructure as well roads, parking space, electricity distribution, water supply, sewage and waste extraction, cooking gas supply and public spaces. The concept of integrated developments has been popular in the U.S. for sometime now and has caught up in other countries, specifically in West Asia. Massive integrated developments are coming up across the world in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, Pakistan and now in India. While Kerala has a relatively mature property market the integrated development wave is yet to break here, possibly due to the difficulty in acquiring large parcels of land. However it is likely that several large projects across Tiruvananthapuram, Kochi and some other cities may be announced in the coming months.
It is not just the convenience granted to the Apartment Tripunithura that make integrated developments the hottest thing in really today. The concept has advantages for all its stakeholders the residents the workforce, investors, the developers themselves and the society outside as well. For those living and working within these developments there are the benefits of almost nil commuting, the sheer variety of facilities available and the safety of an encapsulated environment. The quality of the infrastructure created inside is usually much better than outside wide roads, power backup, eco-friendly waste disposal and scenic green spaces. Developers increasingly prefer integrated developments over standalone projects because of the sheer volume of business that they offer the enhanced financial balance they provide and the controllability inherent in a nearly closed, self-sufficient environment. Potential investors benefit from the assured demand for residential space. Integrated developments also can benefit society at large.
