Icon9 Poor Peace Lily

So my MIL got us a Peace Lily when JD was born. I've been trying to keep it happy and was doing well with it. But I have to keep moving it b/c it is toxic to my cats. (I think she went and FOUND the toic plant since she hates our cats, but that's another story!) Also, since JD is getting mobile and standing he's grabbing at a lot of things now. But since having to move it this last time, I've had to cut back a ton of the leaves that were dead or dying, and it seems to be going downhill! Any ideas on how to revive it..if it is even possible. I've never had a peace lily before since I've always had cats and lily's are deadly. What to do???
