Love your home?
Do you love your home or are you making the best of a situation?
We used to have a 1928 A-frame farm house with huge rooms and hard wood floors throughout. I replaced al the windows but had them built to the special original size of the house. I gutted and remodeled the kitchen and added a laundry porch. The hardwood floors were coverd in ugly shagg carpet that we stripped and refurbished the floors - AHHHH I miss that house soooooo much.
The house we live in now I just tolerate. We bought new construction thinking there would'nt be as much work. Its not big enough, the rooms are to tiny to really get creative - and I so far have reluctantly tolerated this house. Well now that the economy is bad I know I am stuck so DH is letting me have my way with this house....... hey if I have to live here for a while I may as well make it mine right? Oh and as far as it not being as much work.... its more work - I will never in my life buy a new home again.
