how can you not know your child is missing

for 2 freaken days!!! unless of course you are dead or uncounscious

a little girl all of 2 years was found abandoned near a mcdonalds a week or so ago. The adult that found her walked around . they were near a market so she tried to locate the parents when that failed she took the little girl to the police station.

The mum then showed up at the police station 2 days later and only cause she had seen it on the news..I just dont get it...I would know my child is missing long before 2 days.

The family are already known to CYF (child youth& family).

the little girl is still in the care of CYF until it be can be determined she is safe to return to her family
