Grieving families my butt! O/T
I just have to share this because I'm really offended and shocked by it.
Lately I've been feeling even more down in the dumps than usual, I blamed it on the holidays but this is about losing my mum really. So lately I've been holding my hands up a bit more to the fact that it was a tremendous loss for me and I need support.
So cut long story short, I google sites to possibly join a forum and find a site called grieving families. You have to register before you can read, which gave me comfort knowing no one would just be lurking something so personal.
So I register to join and receive an email asking me to activate my account by filling out X code. So I click on link and get to first page asking me to log in again. I am denied to log in as I haven't activated (d'oh) and so I just sit on it and wait. The following morning I receive an email saying I have been denied access to site as I have not responded to their email requiring more information about me to activate my account.
I'm surprised as I haven't received any email, so I go through my junkmail and nothing is there either.
So I'm thinking, wow they're a bit over the top aren't they, but maybe it's for personal reasons. I decide to give it one last shot so change my username and register again. This time I am not only denied access, but I have been banned by IP address to ever access the site! (even the log in or register bit).
I am sharing the email sent to me because I just feel like it's entirely unjustified. For anyone whose been low in the dumps the way I am, and for those who aren't - I realize this might come across like a small thing to you but to me it's not. I'm going to this site because I've lost someone I love very dearly and not only am I given hassle but I'm basically told to f off.
You don't exactly go to a page like this for fun. I'm really saddened by it.
If anyone knows of a grieving page where they welcome you to their family please let me know. I'm going through a rough time and I know I should brush this off and go on - but at this moment in time I can't.

Ps. I can't even reply to the email to say there's been a misunderstanding because of course they've got one of these automatic services!
