what's normal?
This weekend, I went to a baby shower for one of the girls that I work with. I brought Annabelle with me, and of course, she was ALL over the place. These days, she refuses to be held for any length of time. She just wanted to run, run, run all over the place. She charmed everyone in the room of course, she had everyone laughing. It was sweet but exhausting. Chasing after a baby is pretty much the story of my life these days, so I wasn't really phased by it until...
This woman sat down accross from me, with a baby. I started chatting with her, turns out her daughter is only 1.5 months younger than Annabelle. But that baby was SO calm! She litterally sat on her mama's lap the entire time we were there (2+ hours) without making a peep. Meanwhile Annabelle is all over the place and screams bloody murder if I try to slow her down for a minute.
I just assumed that all almost 1 year olds were crazy and had boundless energy and their mama's spend the better portion of any day chasing after them. Is my high-energy baby the exception or the norm? Just hoping I can get some input from you girls.
