O/T: New York Anti-Smoking Commercial...
We haven't had a good debate in a while, and this has been on the news several times in the past few days:
New York targets smokers where it hurts the most, their children - Digital Journal: Your News Network
So, does the commercial go too far by using that little boy's very real tears to send its messge?
For the record, the commercial's director says it was a brief moment and the rest is just the result of his good acting:
Child in ad shed real tears, producer admits - TODAY Health
So what are your thoughts? Are a few moments of being scared for a little boy outweigh the (possibly) positive effects of such a commercial? Is a commercial really going to cause someone to stop smoking?
