Default Is it time for school to start yet?

I am so ready for summer to end!!! I love my kiddos but oh my goodness...boredom has set in and if i hear my girls whine one more time i'm going to go CRAZY!

Did i mention it is waaay to hot to even go outside esp with my fussbutt Brayden? Just had to vent...

Just wanted to say a quick hello as i haven't been around much--trying to keep these kids actively engaged.

my little cousins are out on summer break and i went down there the other day (they are rich) mansion with a pool, lakehouse, beach cabin, dune buggy, horse and on and on...
AND- they were bored! Whatever! LOL
i think its a lost cause - the kiddos will always be bored on summer break!

Good luck Sheila

Sheila, I feel your pain! I haven't had more than one kid in school yet, but in a couple of months both Summer and Emily will be and I CAN'T WAIT! They fight constantly lately and I feel like I can't offer up enough activities to keep them from keeling over with boredom. I love them to bits, but I am so ready for them to go to school! Well, that and I can't wait to buy them cute new school clothes. I am such a girly mom!

I have Kaila going to a two day a week program for 3 hours and i'm beyond excited! In those 6 hours with just Brayden my house will actually stay clean. Oh and grocery shopping with just one...pure heaven!

At the moment I am glad Shayla is off. I actually had a nap yesterday while Bella was sleeping. Shayla is very good at keeping Kayda entertained, and Kayda loves her.

I am so NOT ready for school to start. I'm always the opposite because we homeschool and with June over, I know we start again next month already and I am SO not ready! I always joke that I am more anxious for Summer than the kids are! LOL I actually like having the help that my older ones offer with the younger ones when they aren't busy with school work. So, although I hope that time slows down a bit for us, I hope your Summer goes quickly for you! ;-)

- KL. Just lock em in the basement, that'll do the trick

Sheila- do you have a craft store nearby? Maybe you could let them pick out something artsy to do. That gets my attention for hours!!!

Oh yeah...totally loving the "no rush" mornings and not having to be consistent with a bedtime. I just dread the meltdown hours before dinner. We have been having rainstorms in the afternoons contributing to the boredorm. Argh!
