Ok, I enjoy DH's pain and I shouldn't. Emma sometimes, melts down for no apparent reason when people come near her. There is a particulary LOUD woman at savemart that makes Emma cry. It kinda cracks me up because she comes up to Emma and touches her feet and SCREAMS how cute she is.
Emma looks at her and meltdown and the woman doesn't understand because Emma is nice to the other women. Hahaha. I don't have the heart to tell her to take it down 12 notches.
Well, she did this to my poor dad twice. If he comes in the house and says "Emma!" all excited she cries (serious cry, like she is afraid) and won't talk to him for 15 minutes. And, what makes it funny is she watches him. She will peer around furniture and crane her neck to make sure she can keep him in her sights. It's hilarious. Then she would crawl, now walk, to him in her own good time.
Well, the past three times DH has come to visit she has done it to him. I mean complete bawling. He comes in and she looks straight at him and bawls. Tears flowing, it's not a fakey cry, she is truly upset. I don't know why or what to do to stop it. He is not loud like the woman at Savemart, and he sees her all the time. She only wants me for 20-30 minutes. I know it's terrible, but part of me enjoys it. Not all of me, just the part that doesn't want to share her with anyone.
The first time he didn't say much, but yesterday, he was offended. And he was not hurt, he was offended. I don't want him to think she doesn't love him. Do you know what it might be?? I don't understand why it has started overnight. She takes her time, once SHE is ready, she goes to him. You can't force her. I don't get it, but part of me enjoys the part she comes to me for comfort. However, I do want to fix it if I can. What do you think?
