It didn't go as planned...

So i spent 5 days in NC without my nursing bambino. I thought it was going fabulous. Hubby said he was eating well, but wouldn't take any formula or milk...even if sweetened with apple juice or mixed with breastmilk. He tried bottles and his sippy cup. He said he would only drink 1 six ounce glass of water ALL DAY!

So i arrived home last night and he was sounding raspy and out of sorts with his voice. He just wanted to cuddle--no fussing--which is so not my Brayden!

He was fighting to breathe and i was worried so i took him to the doctors first thing this morning. He has an ear infection and a lung infection. Most likely the lung infection from "preemie" issues.

I mentioned about the weaning and she looked at his weight and he hasn't gained any weight in 3 months. So she told me not to wean...esp now that he is so sick. So they gave us Zithromax and hopefully he'll be back to his fussy litle self.

I just want to be done with nursing!!! How do you get a baby to take formula or milk from a bottle/cup? I was gone for 5 days and he would just eat food, but clearly not enough to sustain his weight. Any suggestions?
