New to the Board

I'm 44 and 22 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. A surprise Christmas Baby....found out in mid January when my period was late. I was in total denial that I could have been pregnant. Anyway, I'm looking for over 40 women to hang with and cheer each other on.

Just looking for some over 40 company! I'm a teacher.... have two teenagers (ages 17.14).All blood tests and NT Scan came back great as well as the growth ultrasound so I'm not doing amnio.

My hubby is almost 50 and has no children of his own so it is fun to experience this with him....like it's the first baby again. He's so happy we are having a boy.

Anyway, I'd like to hear about how your pregnancy is going. Oh, and by the way....for those of your concerned about weight gain. I conceived my first son at age 27 and ate whatever I wanted and gained 40 lbs. I conceived my daughter at age 29 and was careful with what I ate and still gained 40 lbs. I'm 22 weeks pregnant and have gained 15 pounds at last check. I suspect I will put on a total of 40 lbs again....it's just what my body does during pregnancy and I'm eating very healthy.

Can't wait to hear back from some older moms....

Hi, I'm not new but haven't been here (as in this board, I participate on the DIJuly board) in a very long time but lurking from time to time. I am also 44, pregnant with my 6th child, my youngest is 3, then it goes 13, 16, 17, 24 and I have a 2 year old grandson. My baby in waiting is a girl, due in July. This is my husband's second child, our first together is the 3 year old boy.

I am healthy, everyting looks good on Tatiana's part, I elected not to have an amnio, the u/s looked real good. I haven't gained much weight this pregnancy which is strange for me, in fact I keep losing weight although I am eating. My ob isn't worried, so I am not either.

Im new here too. Please read mypost (ttcafter40)
I too am looking for ladies to talk to and get support/encouragement from, and give it to them too.
