Christmas Getting to Know You

Welcome to the Christmas edition of Getting to Know You! All you do is change the answers so that they apply to you. Then repost and have fun reading everyone elses!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?.....Can do/have done both, but I think boxes are more fun to open.

2. Real tree or Artificial?.....I prefer the real ones, but we have an artificial one.

3. When do you put up the tree?.....Within a week after Thanksgiving usually. This year, maybe not at all, with our little daredevil running around!

4. When do you take the tree down?.....Usually New Year's day

5. Do you like eggnog?.....Absolutely!

6. Favorite gift received as a child?.....A Madame Alexandra Baby Doll; I still have her

7. Do you have a nativity scene?.....Actually, not any more. I would really like one tho.

8. Hardest person to buy for?.....DH because he’s one of those guys that has very simple taste, so "stuff" (especially fancy stuff) doesn’t work with him, not to mention he just doesn't ever want much

9. Easiest person to buy for?.....I guess that would be Cooper now. No shortage of toys on the market!

10. Snail-Mail or Email Christmas cards?.....Snail-mail, usually w/picture included

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?.....Not sure I ever had one of those. Especially as a kid. My Mom was great at knowing just the right thing, even if it was just one thing because money was tight.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie?.....Don't really have one. Although there are alot of good ones out these days on Lifetime.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?.....

... the week before Christmas! Unless I've gotten brilliant ideas earlier in the year.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?.....I don't think so.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?.....My Mom & Grandma use to make all kinds of special cookies when I was little that I still look forward to. And Chex Mix ... lots of Chex Mix!

16. Clear lights or colored on the tree?.....I've always done colored lights. But this year I think I'm switching to all clear. Especially since I started collecting Snowmen a few years ago and I've got almost all Snowmen ornaments.

17. Favorite Christmas song?.....I usually like the slower Christmas songs ... and the ones without the lyrics ... just the music. I think it's soothing. (however, there are some pretty funny fast ones too)

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?.....Stay home.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's?.....of course, can't you?!

20. Angel on the tree top or a star?.....I've done both. I saw a beautiful bow with long ribbon-like streamers that I wouldn't mind either.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?.....Morning

doesn't come 'til we're asleep, Silly!

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year?.....Wishing I had more money because I love buying gifts for everyone and I just never seem to be able to buy as much as I want.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color?.....Just the snowmen

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner?.....I have no idea. Nobody ever wants turkey again. Ham isn't my favorite. I think we're doing brisket this year!

25. What do you want for Christmas this year?.....To be honest, just to have all my kids in one place for a while. That doesn't happen all that often, and when it does, it's really nice to just sit back and watch them. The older I get, the more I appreciate just how great each of my kids are in their own way and I wish I had more time with them.
