Default O/T Something is wrong with my son's room

Okay...we moved my 3 year old to a new room before Macy came along. Well, he now has asthma and has to use an inhaler...he coughs at night in his room. We have tried everything...cleaning like mad, new sheets everynight, sleeping inclined etc... I am convinced it has to do with his room. He spent the night at my moms two nights ago and he didn't cough...next night (in his room) he coughed like crazy! In my room he doesn't cough.
We looked in the attic last night to check for a leak or mold...nothing. Our house is fairly new...built in 1997.
What could it be? The doctors just say it is asthma but, I am not convinced.
(I should also add that he does cough after running..so he does have asthma in that respect)
