Hi guys!

My name is Jess and I am the proud mama of a nearly 2 year old...Tracen!! His father and I split a few months ago. Tracen, although unexpected, is the best thing in my life! His father and I tried to make things work to give Tracen a "normal" life but turns out life with an alcoholic is anything but normal. Although it's been difficult at times, life is faaaaaar better on my own than living with that. Tracen was beginning to act out at daycare and I knew it was time to move on for him. Now, he's a happy little boy whose house is peaceful which just confirms that I did the right thing. But, being a single mom is kinda isolating so I look forward to getting to know you guys, and getting and giving support!

While pregnant and right after Tracen was born, I was on the Boards quite a bit, but it's been a while. So, eventually I'll get everything updated with new pics and what not.

Hi Jessica,

I also have been seperated for 9 months due to my husbands alcoholism so I can relate to the insanity and drama that goes along with it. I also feel alone at times and trying to figure out the next move. My 2 kids are so much better now that we are in a routine finally and they have security knowing things will continue to be normal.
