Hi, I am recently seperated my DH moved out 8 months ago. We have an 19 month old and an 8 year old as well as I have a 17 year old step daughter from DH's 1st marriage. We have been married almost 11 years and never imagined that I would be a single parent. My DH is an alcoholic and left us. I now see it is for the best and my DD is much more at ease with him gone but he still is here often and asks to come home daily.

I am at a new phase of being single and that is now I am feeling disconnected with most everyone. I am home with the kids but no longer fit in with the stay at home mom friends I have and am not comfortable with the single ones and I dont have any. I have been in a depression for a while and cant seem to shake it.

hi liza welcome I'm traci mom to brendan he's 3 yrs being a single parent is hard to be around married moms because your envious and you also have to be careful how you talk about their dad because I told my little boy brendan that his daddy was going to help fix my computer one time then when he got home from the bus he asked is daddy here at our house and did he fix our computer oh I felt so bad because here he was expecting to see his daddy in person then I had to tell him it was only on the phone that he was helping mommy .
