Thanks to whoever created it! I look forward to meeting/reconnecting with all the single moms from the Everything Pregnancy board! Yay! finally our own place. And single dads I'm sure us ladies could use some imput from you too! Being a single parent isn't always easy, so I hope we can be a good resource for each other.

YAY!!! My littlest "baby" is fifteen. I have been single since shortly before his second birthday, when I found out that his father had put three months worth of rent money up his nose or in his arm or in his pipe or whatever it is crack addicts do with rent money. I am expecting a new little one in February as a single mama by choice and a whole new set of challenges and joys.
I've posted a bit on the pregnancy board and look forward to getting to know everyone better over here, especially after the baby arrives.

Hi! Im Sarah(36), single mom to Soloman (14) & twins Karsen & Sinclair who will be 5 in a couple of days. Solomans dad is totally out of the picture & the twins dad calls from time to time and I get a pathetic amount of child support from him...but they havent seen him in 3 years. Luckily for my kids my dad is a young grandpa and very involved in their lives. I would love to see this board become more active.
Hi. I'm Melissa and have been doing the single mom thing for over a year basically. I moved back with the ex for about 4 months and tried to reconcile but didn't work out and he has now moved off to another state. I have just my daughter Zoe who turned 4 at the end of July. She is growing up way to fast and I know she misses her daddy. She talks about him all the time.

Oh we've been seperated for the 2nd time for 6 months now.
I went back to school so that I can have a better paying job to support my daughter. Right now its a certificate program for medical assisting where I hope to get on at a urgent care center so I can work evening shifts and return to college to finish my bachelors(Pre-Med and then something science probably biology) and from there it is my goal to apply to medical school. If for any reason medical school doesn't work out then I will try to get into a nursing program and go into nursing.

Well I am here too! Melissa sounds like you and me have the same goal in life! I too just finished schooling for my Medical Assistant and going out on my externships soon!
