MER -- If you're still not on meds, does that mean that your contractions have stopped? (Or, at least decreased in frequency?) You're nearly at 25 weeks, which is great! I get the desire to avoid meds, but, if you're still having contractions and there's a risk of an early delivery, I'd encourage you to ask as many questions as possible in order to delay that delivery and to mature your little ones' lungs.
I know that there's a minimum of 24 hrs for the steroids to really help the lungs, but, I think there's a longer time duration that is optimal, I'm just not sure what it is. Also, every day you can keep the contractions down and keep that baby in will improve her experience when she does come out. You're doing great, so far!
I agree with you on the scrapes and bruises. I really thought that I should have longer before I had to deal with so many of them. A friend told my wife that the definition of little boy should read, "noise covered in dirt". We've modified it to "noise, covered in dirt and scabs." He's so fearless!
