Hi ladies! Sorry I've been absent - but I thought I'd update you.

Porter was born on March 28th at 9:19am. He was 7 lbs, 4 oz and was 22 inches long. We're so in love.

Congratulations on the birth of your son. That is wonderful news. I would love to see pics. So how is life with a newborn going?

Life with a newborn has been my favorite 3.5 weeks of my life. I've had the sweetest highs and most terrifying lows - I'm willing to do all of it - any of it - for this little boy.

I want him to grow very very slowly. I cried when his first week was over - simply because it had ended and I could never have his first week again. I routinely stick my nose in his mouth when he yawns so that I can smell his milky breath. He brings out the sweetest things in me - and in everyone he touches. Even my cynical father that drinks entirely too much and is late to his visiting times is letting us call him "Pappy" and glows whe he holds his grandson.

Lucky, lucky us.
