I am not new to Sk but new to this board. I ususally post on BIN06. Out al all the time I have been on SK I never nknew this particular board existed.

Myself (Shawna) and my Fiance (Raquel) have been together (again) for the past 10 months and we are getting married in Oct 2008 in Maui.

I had my DD in Nov 06 5 1/2 months before we decided to get back together. We were together back in the day and parted ways back in 2001 due to some madness. Everything worked itself out and while I was PG we reconnected and wound up getting back into a relationship in April 07.
I was in a relationship with my ex GF when I got Pg and she had some serious issues and we parted ways long before Z was born. She was there for her birth and tries to be a part of her life now but all things take time.


I am happy to say that I have found this board and I look forward to posting with you all.

There are alot of new mommies on here right now so it is a little quit. It will pick up once everone gets out of the first few weeks of adjusting (babies and moms )

On the BIN06 board I think I am the only lesbian there, I am not uncomfortable at all over there but sometimes I just want to let my hair down and some don't understand but others love me all the same.

Hi Shawna great to see you over here. I think perhaps we've met before, not sure which board, perhaps the Parenting an Only child? or did you ever visit the old (extremely quiet) Gay/Lesbian Parenting board? Any way, it's good you found your way to this board, it's active and full of friendly faces. I've found them to be so welcoming, as I'm sure you will.

oh, bit about me; I'm Jennette, live in Australia with my DP, Andy, of 12 years. We have a 4yo son, Mason, conceived finally thanks to IVF and an unkown donor, after 4 years of TTCing with a known donor (good friend). Currently our relationship has no legal status, and my DP has no parenting rights. We hope that will change one of these days - the battle is on in Australia!
