Re: Feb/Mar Chatty thread
That is hilarious, Patty.
Well... I walked and walked yesterday (and poooped myself totally out in the process)... hopefully that will "bring on the baby." I am sooo anxious to see her. My dad has been so funny... he has called me more in the last 3 days to "see if anything is happening" than he has probably called me in the last three YEARS! haha My mom is calling alot too... but that is normal.

Re: Feb/Mar Chatty thread
We went for our first walk today! The weather is great here so we each put a baby in a Bjorn and walked around the neighborhood. It was great to get out and get some fresh air.

Re: Feb/Mar Chatty thread
A - I know - the weather is GREAT! My big plan was to take Caleb for a walk. I even put the stroller together myself! Things like that don't happen much around here Little did I know that DP had planned to take him to her work today to show him off.
Dawn - Wait until Olivia is here! My mom calls almost every day now and all of our friends who have kids call all the time to "check in". DP's best friend calls every few days and says she loves her at the end of every conversation! Something about mommyhood, I suppose...

Re: Feb/Mar Chatty thread
Funny that all of you are having great weather. We are having snow and ice down here! Some of our schools actually closed early yesterday and canceled today. My school isn't opening until 10am. I was going to have to leave by 12:30 today anyway, so I am not even bothering to go in today. So, yesterday was officially my last day of work, I guess.
It feels weird not to be going in and knowing I won't be going back until the first full week of June. I am going to return to work for one month. (They are letting me bring Olivia with me to work and work shortened hours that month, they want me to come back to help with some stuff that month so are making that accommodation.)
We are hoping we can just make it on Kathy's salary and the next three months will be "the test"... if so, then I will stay home.
Jen - Kaitlyn is really growing and soooo cute!
Laura - My dad got my mom a video chat camera for their computer for her birthday, so I know she will be "calling" in on that even more once the baby is here. It will be awesome... but our office is a GIANT mess, so I will have to get that cleaned up before we can really do that much. (It is so messy that I think I might trip over something and drop her or something if I try to get in here! ahhh!) I guess that makes it a good "waiting for Olivia project."
Speaking of waiting for Olivia... I lost my mucous plug last night. (Gross!) Woo hoo... more progress. (Hey, Laura, don't remind me that Carolyn lost hers like 3 weeks before Caleb had to be forced out... hehe. I am ignoring that fact and hoping that might mean she has moved down some more and that I might actually be dilated now. haha)

Re: Feb/Mar Chatty thread
Dawn, If it's any consolation, I lost my mucus plug and then my water broke 30 minutes later, so you could go very soon, too. I know I was thinking, "it could be weeks"....and then BOOM! the babies were here!

Re: Feb/Mar Chatty thread
We thought that Carolyn was losing bits of her mucus plug at a time, but in retrospect we now think it was a few days of spotting from her internal.
That's it for now. Caleb isn't going to let me sit down today - Mr. Fussy!!1

Re: Feb/Mar Chatty thread
Hmmm... interesting from both points of view... hopefully it will happen soon. Although, selfishly, I would now like her to wait until Monday because my OB isn't on call this weekend. (I know that is kind of dumb.)
Caleb's new pics are REALLY cute!

Re: Feb/Mar Chatty thread
Thanks! It sure can be hard to get good pics when he doesn't smile, doesn't hold up his head much and is always eating or sleeping!
He is pretty darn cute, though!!

Re: Feb/Mar Chatty thread
I love the new pics!!! Everyone is so cute and going so FAST!!! We lesbians have some pretty babies!
Dont worry Laura, he will be smiling in no time. Our issue is we cant get a good picture of the BOTH of them at the same time. One will be smiling and one will look like a slack jawed yokel. Very frustrating.

Re: Feb/Mar Chatty thread
Uggh! We've been busy lately. It's amazing how busy we get with little ones around!
Jackson has decided that he has a quick temper now. He goes from happy and content to "I'm really ticked off!" in like less than a second sometimes. He has also decides he likes to be awake during "prime time" in the evening. He's up from like 6 at night until midnight. Unfortunately, this is the time I get REALLY tired. Susan ends up doing duty then! Harper is a lot easier going--except for when she's hungry. She just likes to be held sometimes! I'm starting to adjust to the lack of sleep. In the middle of the night, I end up taking lots of naps with them in the Lazy Boy!
Patty and other BF moms- I know Patty you said that BF babies don't poop every day necessarily and the doctor said this too. Jackson and Harper just went from pooping 4-6 times a day to once or less in the last week. Yesterday, neither pooped. Jackson did at like 3 a.m. this morning. Harper didn't poop Thursday, had a BIG poop on Friday night at 6 p.m. and then hasn't pooped again since. The doctor said to call if she doesn't poop at all in 2 days so we'll call in the morning if she doesn't, but is this sort of normal? I'm sort of concerned because she does have REALLY smelly farts throughout the day. I'm hoping she's not constipated. The doctor doesn't want to intervene too early because then she may get off track.
BTW- all of the babies are beautiful! I need to upload more pictures too!

Re: Feb/Mar Chatty thread
Care-Mine have had stinky farts since day one! (and their farts smell MUCH different from their poop) I cant remember when mine went from every 4 hours to once every few days and now they go every 12-14 days
My dr and a few LCs said as long as they are not straining alot and NOT pooping they are fine. They usually are a bit cranky the day before they poop, and the day of they are definitely straining, but it comes out soft and that's what it should be. AS LONG as what is coming out is soft they are NOT constipated. It just means that their bodies are using almost EVERY bit of BM so it takes longer to build up. Mine were also getting a bottle of formula (small bottle) every day and that didn't make them poop anymore then with out it. That is what made me nervous, but it turns out it was all very normal.
My Dr said that if i was really worried I could get the glycerin suppositories and cut it in half for them. I did it once for Emmy cause I was really worried she went right away and did not seem in pain at all. Then when we were a day away from getting on the plane I realized Ave hadn't gone in 12 days so I gave her a suppository cause I KNEW she would go on the plane YIKES!!! Again she was in no pain and went within minutes of it.
Sorry, so long apparently I can talk alot about POOP!
