So we were told by our pedi. that we could try rice cerial with the girls. Sat I found out (unfortunately) tat my milk gets a soapy taste to it if it is not scolded b4 storing it...how did I find this out? Well, I used some sored BM for their first try at solids. Needless to say they did not like it! So then Sunday I tried with just water, and decided to put "just a pinch" of sugar in it...Someone put salt in the canaster (I thought it was sugar) The girls made this aweful face, I tasted it and realized what had happened...My girls may be BFing till they go off to college! Who could blame them! My new plan is to treat them like royalty and taste everything FIRST from now on. I did finally get it right and they ate a little but I felt like the worste mommy ever!
Here are some pics...
Emerson with more on her face then in her tummy
Emerson trying it...
Emmy liked it when I wasn't trying to poison her...
This is poor Avery when I gave her the salty cerial...
Avery...What just happened?

You are not the worst Mommy! Those pictures are so cute. The salty taste certainly isn't going to hurt them and will be a great story for them later on.
Looks like you all had fun with Feeding Number One!

Very cute pics and this will make a funny story down the road. To this day I still hear about the time my uncle was babysitting and gave me salt water instead of sugar water in my bottle. Feeding solids can be so much fun. We're at the point now where Jocelyn can eat crackers by herself (with me watching like a hawk of course) and avacado in one of those mesh things.

I KNOW!! Poor thing! I did redeem myself with banana baby food a few days later...they loved it! And today they had peas and liked that too...peas are messy! Everything is green after words
