Where is everybody? Time for an update...

This place sure is quiet.

Been wondering how everyone is faring...

We're just doing the waiting game. Lilly's courtdate of June 27 canNOT come soon enough for me. So, I don't have a lot to report. Everyone at our house is currently healthy.

But, I probably shouldn't have said that out loud.

I'm going to go to Chicago for my niece's graduation, the middle of June. She's graduating from Northwestern. I love going there and seeing the lake, etc. Hopefully that can take my mind off of court dates and my fear. At least for a little while.

So, how about it? How is everyone? Where are you in your journey right now?

Girl you are not kidding....I saw it had been days since anyone posted.

Marian I LOVE Chicago...I would move there in a heart beat!!! I think the city is just beautiful and I love the parks and the pier. Oh I could just go on and on about all I things I love about Chicago. I went one time for St. Patrick's day and they dye the river green so cool. Also you might know this but they do free fireworks like every tuesday night at the pier. (double check the night but it is a really good show) I hope you have a great time there and things help keep your mind free of any worry!!! I know the unknown can be so scary. Oh and I love the siggy pic...just precious!!!

Anyway. I have been away since last Wednesday with no tv, telephone or internet.

We went to beach for memorial day weekend and had a great time with friends and family. We road the waverunners went to the beach and had a BBQ

. It was so much fun!!! I love the waverunner!!!

I was actually home yesterday but I had a dermatology appointment to have my moles checked out and I ended up needing to have one removed for biopsy and it hurt really bad and I ended up turning green and almost passing out so by the time I got home I was exhausted and I slept pretty much all day long. So today I will play catch up with everything.

No news on our adoption front except that we can expect a referral this summer.

I am just beside myself at that thought. This weekend my grandmother gave me a painting that my great, great grandfather painted and it is of these sailboats in the port so I thnk that may end up being the theme of the babies room. I'll have to see if I can take a picture of it and share it with everyone.

Well I think that's all I have to update....can't wait to hear from the next person!!!

Here I am! I am busy getting the safety stuff done around the house (as well as a little cleaning and tossing). Who knew we were living in a house that wasn't that safe!!

We are just waiting for the SW to come on June 11th and give us the rest of the dossier stuff so we can get started on that. I know we have to schedule DR. appoinments and have it all notorized and that could hold us up.

This week I am working full time covering for someone at work on vacation and it is BORING. Like playing solitare waiting for the phone to ring boring. I just keep thinking how much I could be getting done at home!!! The money will be nice though.

Glad to hear you all had a fun weekend. Marian....thinking good thoughts for your court date. Have fun in Chicago. My fave city in the country.

Our applications has been in for 3 weeks now, seminar attended two weeks ago and first SW visit at the agency is on Friday!

I think we, too, will spend the weekend baby proofing the house (it seems soooo early to worry about that though). Oh my, I can't belive how expensive those magic cabinets locks are but I want them! We could be approved by mid-July! Our profile is in draft form and I think it is good except we could use some better photos. Of course, we have zero action shots of anyone but the dog.

I'm still around too. Nothing new here. Our social worker went on maternity leave so she won't be back until mid August. Our profile has not been shown in over a month. Our agency did make 3 placements in May though so hopefully the placements start picking up. We've been waiting almost 5 months now.

Megan - What Channel is the Adoption Stories on? I used to watch it on the weekends and I can't seem to find it anymore. I LOVE that show!!!
