so today the Pope was in DC so I went to work with L and stood out on the streets for 4 hours waiting for him to go by. I was in the front row and got some good pictures that I'll download and share tomorrow. I don't really identify as a Catholic but it sure was neat to be a part of history. Now I am ready for a nap, my feets are killing me.

Oh and the weather was just perfect!

Here he was coming towards us, the streets were lined with cops, they had a cop at every other fence/gate holding people back and his trek to the cathedral was a good 5 miles maybe even more because it went down Pennsylvania Ave onto Rock Creek Park it was just crazy the amount of people.

It was just really neat to watch the crowd go wild, they sang, they cheered, they cried. Very neat.

K, how exciting! I bet you must of been exhausted standing for so long but it was so worth it huh!

How lucky you were to have the chance to see The Pope in person...I would to see him...I guess that I will have to check if he has any plans to come to CA.
