Thank you everybody.

I woke up this morning feeling like I had been physically beat up. My whole body hurts.

But, my sister completely surprised me last night. She drove four hours to get here yesterday. She is just going to stay with me until we can function again. Thank God. The girls love having her here.

We are going to have a transition for Lilly. I'm not sure how that is going to work as no one has talked to me about it yet. But, hopefully it will work well for all of us.

Right now I am just grateful that today is not the day I have to turn her over.

When do you all have to begin the transistion?

Marian, I'm so glad your sister is/will be there to help you out for a while! It's so good to be able to have someone there to rely on in the hard times.

As for the transitioning, I'm not sure how they work it there but here in TX they start off with visits, then with 1 day overnights then weekend overnights and etc....

I'll be keeping you and your family in my ers.

I imagine that is what they will be doing Ruby. Starting off with a little bit and working to full time. I can't even imagine how hard it is going to be so I have to try not to think in the future too much.

How does a mom contemplate the loss of a child? I don't know how to do this.

I've been staring at this blank screen trying to think of something to say. I guess there really is nothing...no words.
I don't know how you contemplate the loss of a child. I think in situations like this the only things you can do are remember that Lilly's life will go on because you were there for her and live moment by moment. This moment is ok and you can live through it.
It's because your heart is so big that you chose your path and Lilly is in your life. The bad thing about huge hearts is that when they break, there is so much to break.

I haven't been on here in days. Seeing your post made me so sad. I cannot believe they are doing this to Lily and your family. I truly belive the Judge made the wrong decision and she would be better off with you. I cannot even begin to imagine what your family is going through right now. Is there any option for ongoing contact with Lily or are you cut off permanantly? I feel so bad for you. This little girl is too young to know what is going on. The only Mom she knows is you. Praying for your family as you grieve this tremendous loss.
