Well, Lilly is here again...

How about that?

They moved out to California on Sunday. On Monday her aunt was calling me to let me know that they did not have daycare available until Feb 26 and that they had no family housing for a month. Why they told her to bring the kids with her, no one is sure.

We had to drive out to California Monday night and get the kids. Lilly's brother is staying with a family member here.

So there you go. Lilly is back here for a month or so. Or less if she can work things that way. It's hard to tell. So all of a sudden my life became wildly unruly, busy and chaotic.

But good. I'll have to get the "Welcome to Camp Run-A-Muk" sign out again.

Art has actually stepped up to the plate and is helping with childcare in the middle of the night.

Thank God. I'm not sure how long I could keep doing it alone. Right now the baby is still waking every 1.5-3 hours to eat. Lilly is awake at least three or four times a night, minimum, and since this all began we're trying to put Avery back in her bed full-time and that means she is up two or three times a night too. I feel like I'm just playing musical beds and musical kids. (Help, I need some coffee.

) Hopefully things settle down into a somewhat predictable
pattern soon.

I guess you just never know what life is going to throw at you, do you?

Ha....it sounds that even when it sounds crazy you are loving it

....glad that you can have Lilly back with you...so sorry that you are not getting enough sleep! Hang in there it will get better

Welcome to my life! I feel your lack of sleep and musical beds - half the time Jadon decides he going to sleep in our walk-in closet!

How wonderful in general - if this keeps up you just might end up with both girls. Fingers Crossed.

oh btw- DH says "wow - just another example of child services dropping the ball - but kids with people unable to take care of business . . . I know its not her (aunt) fault but geez! Talk about not in the best interest of the child bouncing kids back and forth!

Is the brother Lily and Livi's bio brother as well?

Well how 'bout that! While things are undoubtedly chaotic, I'm sure you are enjoying having Lilly back. Sorry for the sleep issues though.....that stinks. I hope everything calms down soon, and you get some much needed rest. I just wanted to let you know, I keep up with all of your happenings and although I may not have time to reply alot of the time (I'm usually at work) I still think of you daily. You're an inspiration to us all, a very strong woman indeed! You're right, you just never know what's going to happen next! I hope that someday I can take everything as it comes...I'm still working on that though. Hug those babies for me, K?

I knew something was up with how quiet you have been these days.

I didn't realize Lilly had a brother too. I can only imagine the HAPPY chaoticness going on in that household. I'm glad you get more time with Lilly and that the new mom feels safe enough to call you up and ask for help. I wish all the relationships could turn out like that.

As sad and hard these times have been you have also really had some great experiences.

Keep us posted and I hope you get more sleep, I am a big sleeper that is my NUMBER ONE worry about being a mom is the lack of sleep.

Marian what a blessing to have Lilly back (even if it's for a couple of weeks)!

Though I do hope you do get some sleep soon, I'm one of those person who needs to sleep at night. And there is where I must thank dh because he's the one who's up at night to feed Mia! I don't know how you do it but when it comes to children I know we always find a way. Keep us updated!

with your DH. I mean, really, isn't this the kind of stuff we worried about all along? WTG, CPS.

I wish CPS were able to just say, "Oooops, we made a mistake, let's just change that now, okay?"

And Lilly's new brother is not a bio brother but actually a cousin.

We had a Child/Family Team meeting today for Olivia. It's where we figure out strengths/weakness and goals, etc. for the child. Another aunt showed up that wants to take Olivia.

Foster parenting = Nerves of Steel and the Faith like a Rock. I think I'll have that made on a blinkie.

Good news about the new aunt. They told her today that she would not be considered for placement. Sad for the aunt. Good for me.

The girls bio family seems to be quite dysfunctional - multiple member with issues! Totally excited that things are looking good for your family!

I have to agree with jen on this, that family just seems to spin in circles.

You can't do it, I'll do it, Oh i can't do it, then I'll do it...I mean come on who has to step up to the plate and take responsibility here.
