Take Two: Referral
Ok so we are back on the emotionaL REFERRAL train, next stop...who knows where...
So I have a HUGE vent about my agency but I won't bore you all with all the details, I'll try and give you the quick and easy.
We got our second referral on the 3rd. Little boy, he was born sometime around April 1st and April 12th, he was abandoned on the doorstep of a church. We got pictures and video of him he does have a skin condition from the knee down but that seems to be treatable, he may also have a lazy eye but that is ok too, this is the part that lands us on the emotion train, they sent us copies of blood work that says he has Hep B antigen. UMM, HELLO I just turned down a baby with Hep C why would I want Hep B? Well after stairing at the test results in such disbelief I suspected these may not be his test results. Well two days later I found out they are not his test results, he is infact what appears to be a very healthy baby. I am so MAD at them, I called my social worker she is beyond disappointed that the agency is not handling us with more care and attention. I mean come on we feel completely inlove with baby number one we were crushed and to this day still cry over the loss of baby one. So needless to say we have to have another sit down meeting with the agency and talk to them. We are going to send this second babies videos off to be looked at and then go from there.
Please pray that this baby is healthy and we can bring him home to be a part of our family.
So I know this post might be a little scrambled I just didn't want to go off on my soapbox about the agency. The good news is this little boy is cute, hopefully healthy and he is in like a foster care situation instead of an orphange with is pretty dag gone awesome in my book...Especially when I think of what great foster moms we have on this board!!!
I'll share pictures soon!!
