Any good plans for the weekend?

What is going on with everyone's adoptions/foster processes right now???Let's get a friday check in.

Today I am going to cut the grass and clean the house, yesterday I spent the day sewing a summer dress, I have to make some corrections on it but all in all I think I did fairly well for it being my first project.

This weekend we have a sedar dinner to go to and then I think we may just relax for the rest of the weekend.

My adoption update. We still don't know anything about a next referral but that is ok with me, i'll take all the time I can get right now. L and I start therapy thursday night so hopefully that will really help us move forward. L also ordered the big swing set to be delivered. For thos that don't remember we won a huge swing set at a live auction last year and have been waiting to have it delivered. well we are getting it delivered and then we will start putting it together in about a week.

I think that is all for me...who is next?

I'm so glad it's finally FRIDAY!!! I've had a crazy week with doctor appointments and classes I've been taking after work to complete my 30 hours I need to keep my foster license up-to-date. This weekend we really don't have much planned except for Saturday, we are going to a Health Baby & Child Expo. they are having. Hoping to get some good info. there.

As for our fostering situation we still have Mia. We are so happy that she's still with us, we've heard some good news and I'll update on the PB. I've also completed buying the new furniture for the converted garage we made into a 4th bedroom and I'm having it delivered on Saturday. After that we get our Fire & Health Inspection redone and we'll be able to take in at least 4 kids.

How is it going? Not to bad been a busy week w/ appts for both kids.

Any good plans for the weekend? I have cass the next 3 days. Our weather is suppost to warm back up. I'm think we are going to be patching the grass. Not sure after that.

What is going on with everyone's adoptions/foster processes right now? We are in the process of transitioining cass back home. She has decided that she is going to change her behaviors to come home.Now it's a waiting game to see if the changes are for real or if they are just enough to get her out.

ttc #2 Beta on 7/28 ...... Hoping for a March baby

How is it going? Pretty good. My sister came on Wednesday for a visit. Her daughter Lauren came yesterday and brought our friend who just had a baby three weeks ago so we have two little babies in the house. My oldest sister and her friend are coming tomorrow night. We hardly ever get anyone down here to visit and it seems like they are all coming at once! But, we're loving it. Avery's having a heyday with all the attention.

Any good plans for the weekend? I have a class at church tomorrow morning and then after that I'm going to a tea room for lunch with a couple of my old work friends. It's a really fun place, so girly. They had my baby shower for Avery there. Way cool. I have a house full of company and some of us will be going to go see "The Music Man" that two of my nieces and one of my nephews are in on Saturday night. On Sunday morning I have a solo at church. Busy, busy weekend!

What is going on with everyone's adoptions/foster processes right now??? We have severance on Olivia's birth father! We are waiting to start the severance procedure for her Bmom. Hopefully we can/will be through with all of the procedures within a few months and can get on with the six month wait for adoption.

How is it going? It is going okay. I am trying to find tickets to go out to LA to see my aunt. Her cancer spread to her lymphatic system so the news was not good after surgery. Tickets are getting so expensive these days!

Any good plans for the weekend? My DH has been sick, so most of this weekend has consisted of laundry and cleaning out the basement. Today I am going to BabiesRUS to register for some stuff with a friend.

What is going on with everyone's adoptions/foster processes right now??? No call yet, we did get our I-171H in the mail and got that apostilled and sent off to the agency on Friday. She said that referrals are coming "fast", whatever that means.

I didn't get to this until Sunday.

My big excitement this weekend was cleaning out my car yesterday--boring, but, necessary.

Where are we at regarding adoption? Well, we're having discussions, but, it's basically on hold until we finish another IVF round. I find that I cannot figure out which adoption route would be best for us. Whenever I hear stories and think about older child adoption, I have such great empathy for the kids involved that I cannot fathom going another route. Most international adoptions aren't available to us as a married same-sex couple--I'm not willing to lie about that--although I'd be open to advice from people who know more about which might be. Private adoption can be very expensive. Do I want to spend so much money, when there are older children who need homes so badly? In other words, I have no idea where we're at.

Oh Nicole, I so think your phone calls is gonna be coming in like 4 weeks. I just see June kicking off with a phone call for you.

4 weeks. OH my. Can't you wish for it tomorrow?? I am SO tired of waiting.
I'll take June. Gives me time to get more weight off.

We should start another weightloss thread. I am back on the bandwagon as of yesterday.
