K, this was me . We were so busy, busy, busy! I'm so glad our agency gave us the weekend to have them and then decide to go through with the placement or not. We are so torn with the decision. Part of us wants to do it but after much talking we found out we will be way over our heads with 4 kids under the age of 3 (1 in pull-ups and then other 3 in pampers) plus both of us working full time. Then our poor Mia also got accidentally hit about 5 x, we also noticed we weren't able to hold/pick her up as much and Mia was just so cranky that last night she slept like a baby. I feel so bad letting our agency know we won't be able to go through with the placement but we have to do what's right for our family and those kiddos. I just wish I didn't feel so bad it's so hard to say no!

So now we decided to let our agency know that we will only be taking in a placement if 1 kiddo is in diapers and the rest will have to be school age.

I can't imagine how crazy your house was!!

I am glad you were able to have the weekend to decide....you always know what is right for your family, so it is okay to say no. At least that is what I have learned.

Oh Ruby, You adn Dh should be so proud of yourselves for knowing your limits. I know first hand how hard it is to say no but you really are doing what is best for everyone.

Don't feel bad your agency should be proud of you too!!!!

Ruby,

I so know how you were feeling . . . having 3 under one until last week was probably the most challenging thing I have ever done. I felt the difference came when Jarrett was born and the 5th child was a little more than I could "chew off". I too couldn't hold everyone that needed holding!

As much as I wanted to protect every child - I had to learn those limits! Bravo to you for figuring it out far more quickly than I! - we are back to respite only right now - waiting to see if we are relocating to your "neck" of the woods.

Wow girl. You are amazing for even trying. It's good that you know what your limits are. You all would be very unhappy in no time if it was too much. KWIM? Good for you. I hope your next placement comes soon and that it is the perfect fit for your family. You would go bonkers spending all day changing four little people's diapers. Who wouldn't??! I about go crazy doing one diaper and one pull-up!
