How did you and DH/SO meet up?

We know Jenn and Marian met their DH'S at the bar....come on girls lets go down memory lane.

Lu and I met at camp. Yup that is right we used to go to the becoming and outdoors women camp and we bunked in the same cabin and have been together ever since.

Dh & I met because my younger sister (she's 2 yrs. younger than me) was friends with dh younger brother. I think each had a crush on one another but nothing ever came out of it, they remained friends and one day when talking to each other my sis. asked me if I knew Omero from school and I said no. So my sis. gives me the phone and dh brother gave him the phone and we started talking. That was back in 95 and here we are 13 yrs. later!

well, my story goes back to 1997 I was at Puerto Rico finishing my B.A Degree and my mom and sister were living here in CA. that December I came to visit my sister and to stay for 3 months before moving to Notre Dame in Indiana to do my Master in Law, on January 24th 1998 I met Jorge online in a Latino chat room. I was chating with some friends and Jorge kept interupting my conversation. Finally he got my attention and we started chating after a while he asked me where I was and I said in CA, he told me that was on the Bay Area in CA so he asked for my phone number...I was bored so I gave it to him! We talked for 6 hours and after that we kept talking every day for hours...after two weeks he came and we met in person...by that time I felt like I knew him my whole life

. Six months after knowing eachother we got married this July will be our 10th anniversary!!!!

I actually meet my DH through my now ex-husband. We were at a mutual friends house. Since i Iwas married I wasn't looking for anyone and as far as he was concerned I was off limits. Six months later my marriage fell apart and I became very ill. He was the one who spent many nights at the hopital with me and caring for me. My marriage was over long before we began dating and I was offically divorced before we did date. But he always tells me that he loved me from the first moment he laid eyes on me. He can even tell me what I was wearing. We have now been married for 4.5 years.

I love these stories!

What makes my an DH's story so amazing is that for no reason that we can tell he met me at a bar that was over 25 miles from his house. He went with a friend there and we aren't quite sure why they drove all that way just to go to a bar! Not only that, we met at last call.

We also found out that we had actually met a couple of weeks before that but we didn't put two and two together until we were together for a couple of weeks. We were just in awe when we realized it. And he, like Jenni's man was able to tell me exactly what I had been wearing, where I was sitting and what I was doing.

First off, Marian, I just read your new siggie, 3-19-05 is K's birthday. Sorry for your loss.

Our story....DH moved to my town when we were 9 years old and he lived down the street from my best friend. In highschool his locker was right next to the same friend and we just always knew each other. We were in the same grade and our B-days are 20 days apart. BTW..his mom is an OB nurse and attended my birth so I guess you could say so did he in a way! Anyways, after we graduated, he was dating one of my roomates little sisters so he was always around and when they broke up (she cheated and I caught her in the act) we offered him the extra bedroom in the house we were renting. It's nice to have a guy around to fix crap ya know?! We hung out alot and pretty much did everything together and I can say he honestly became my best friend. After awhile, all of our other friends started asking why we didn't just date! One day, my dad asked him, "Is there something wrong with my daughter?" Dh said "no, why" then Dad asked me "Why don't you ever date nice guys like Mark?" I said "He's not my type" And we all laughed. My "type" is the exact opposite of Dh. Anyways, that weekend DH asked, "How come I'm not your type" and the rest is history! This June we will have "lived together 10 years, and in July we will be married 7! He's still not my "type" but he's still definatly my "best friend"!

DH and I met in an online chat room, talking about NASCAR, go figure! I wasn't even a fan at the time.
