Hey gals, my name is Chrissy. I am new around here and am hoping to camp out for a short while. After losing the IF battle the second time around DH and I are throwing our hat into the domestic adoption ring. We are waiting for our intro packet in the mail and are adjusting to the thought of the costs. Can anyone tell me what to expect next?

Congratulations on your decision to move forward with adoption. We recently adopted domestically and our total costs were about $14,000. I know it just varies with each agency. We had to pay 1/2 up front and the other 1/2 upon placement.

Thanks! Got our intro pack today and I faxed back our pre-application questionaire. Next step I guess will be meeting our agent and going over protocols then starting our application! I'm so excited I wish we could start it all today!
