We had our group intro meeting last night with one of the directors of our potential agency. I loved her! She and her sister both founded the the agency in 1999. She was so open and honest, didn't sugar coat stuff and left us feeling comfortable and excited!

Needless to say, we are going to move forward with them.

I did feel a little overwhelmed afterward thinking about all the stuff we have to do, but DH was super excited and it was like a role reversal, he's going through all the next step and planning!

Next steps are the pre-application, wait for approval, then get going on our Ohio application and home study. We also can get started on our photo journal. My best friend is an Art Director and is going to help us put it together. We are pretty excited about that.

I hope by October we'll have all that stuff wrapped up, our mandatory training done and we'll officially be "on the market".

Yea! That is so terrific! I know you've probably gathered from a lot of the posts that finding the right agency home can be a real trick! I'm glad you love yours.

Isn't it great when everything starts to fall into place and just feel right?

I'm so glad you found an agency you liked and DH is so excited. Many girls have to deal with their partners not being on board and bringing them kicking and screaming. Then to have an art director help you on your bio - how cool is that?

Take a deep breath and one step at a time - being overwhelmed with all you have to do to get approved and the actual potential of a child in your arms is completely natural! I remember being fine until I went to those classes and I almost ran as fast as my legs could carry me!

Keep us updated! I can't wait for your referral post come the end of the year!
