Lilly's update (child mentioned)

Well CPS decided that even though they don't believe it is the best placement for her, they did not have the ba**s to make the appropriate referral. They will file to move Lilly to her unknown aunt's house because their hands are tied. Legislation makes it impossible for them to recommend what's in a child's best interest.

Lilly's attorney will file an objection and we will then move to a placement hearing where Lilly's remaining life will be decided by one judge.

This should happen hopefully within a month.

I'm taking all donations of Xanax, Lorazepam, Valium... I'm not picky...

to hear this. I can't believe it

(well actually I can believe it because I have a sister who works for cps), and I know about the cps sometimes having their hands tied behind there back because of legislation. I hate the idea knowing that Lilly's fate lies in 1 judges hands but I hope and

that he sees that Lilly has an attachment to you and your family and that this aunt hasn't bothered with anything besides visiting with Lilly once @ the mall.

Do you know anything about the judge hearing the case? I know here where I live we have a judge who can sometimes be a big a**! He's real big on pro-family so even though the cps recommends placement with foster parents he always seems to chooses family. I hope this judge does what is best for Lilly and he places with you.

I am so sorry. I will be praying that you get the Judge that will believe Lily belongs in one home and one home only, YOURS because you are the only family she has ever known, cared for and loved.

It is so scary for me to think of her going off with strangers.

What person in their right mind would let their precious one-year-old go off with someone they didn't know? Can you imagine how scared she would be?

This is so dang hard.

But, in the end, if she stays, it will be worth it. And really, even if she leaves, knowing her and loving her has been so good. But, the loss would be unimaginably hard.

I find myself praying at all hours of the day and night.

I can only imagine how hard this must be for all of you right now. Stay strong and I'll keep praying right along with you. We really need better legislation for these children, blood realtion does not equal better!!!

It is a cop-out really.

I have some xanax if you want it, I'm no junkie but I do love me some 1/2 a pill of xanax during the hard times.

Marian, I haven't dropped in here since you posted that her parents were terminated. I'm soooo sorry you even have to imagine this could happen. Can anyone casually mention to these judges that the "family" will always have ties to these "parents" they took these children from???? (Not that I'm suggesting anything here)....this is why people take the children and hide, to keep them safe and happy. Good luck, also, Relecore is an anti-depressant AND weight loss aid in one....
