Icon7 Kinda Funny Story....OT

So this past weekend was my family christmas party and I decided I wanted to make a side dish and a dessert. So I made Amish Macaroni Salad and then I made these Homemade Chocolate Covered M*rshmellows I saw being made on the Martha S*tewart show.

Well let me just tell you it was not as easy as they made it seem on the show. So it takes like three whole days to make because alot of the stuff has to sit over night. So I made the marshmellow which took me two batches because I flung the first batch of STICKY substance all over the kitchen while blending it.

I make the second batch things are looking good, i let the stuff sit over night the next day I go to make the chocolate covering, well it never got hard so it pretty much just melted right off of the marshmellow that were flat and not puffy like I like them to be. So I dip all the marshmellows in the fudge and then let it sit over night. The next day i tasted the marshmellows and I thought oh, these don't look pretty but they taste good, I'll take them to the family party anyway.

Well my uncles had a field day with it, my one uncle said it tasted like tofu. Ok that is not a compliment people.
So I walk outside because all the kids are going on a little boat ride and I wanted to watch (yes a boat ride in 37 degree weather, no wonder we are all sick now) Anyway I walk back in the house they are holding the plate of marshmellows upside down, they were so sticky you could hold the plate upside down without them falling off. So I'm like hahaha your all so funny and I walk back outside again. Well when I came in they are like it is white elephant time and they hand me a number. (I didn't bring anything for the white elephant but they said that was ok someone brought an extra gift) I should have known at this point. They wrapped up my marshmellows and put them in the white elephant, isn't that so mean. I was I swear I see some of these people once a year if that and they so busted on me all day long. So needless to say the marshmellows were not a big hit at all. I have a picture of them but photobucket is taking forever to load them so I'll have to wait and post a picture later. Oy vey!!!

I might even send a picture to Martha S*tewart so she can see my end product...

Kristine That reminded me of a story when we were kids. We decided to make some popcorn balls, well my 5 yr. old brother at the time came running to the kitchen when they were done, he wanted to be the first one to get one. Well they were as hard as a brick that he just got it and threw it at us, up to this day he reminds us that he will never eat any of our popcorn balls.

Hey, they look pretty tasty to me! I probably would have eaten them all. Stupid family people. I hate when my family does stuff like that to me. And, of course, they've had plenty of practice. Because, well, let's just say I've made a few mistakes in my lifetime. I just say that they all give the coolest people the hardest time. :neener

It's that way with my family and my spagetti. The first summer after K was born we took a camping trip with my parents and brother. Well needless to say on my night to cook dinner everyone took off fishing leaving me alone to cook dinner and take care of my own child. Like how hard could that be? I do it all the time at home. I should have known that everyhting is worse in the wilderness. Sinse K was asleep and I din't want to change carbon monoxide poisening in the camper, I thought I would make it on the campfire. Well, the flame got to big, she woke up, and you guessed it...charbroiled noodles and sauce that tasted like smoke. I'll never live it down. They bring it up everythime we go camping (alot) or have spagetti or if we go somewhere where it's on the menu!
