So this past weekend was my family christmas party and I decided I wanted to make a side dish and a dessert. So I made Amish Macaroni Salad and then I made these Homemade Chocolate Covered M*rshmellows I saw being made on the Martha S*tewart show.
Well let me just tell you it was not as easy as they made it seem on the show. So it takes like three whole days to make because alot of the stuff has to sit over night. So I made the marshmellow which took me two batches because I flung the first batch of STICKY substance all over the kitchen while blending it.
I make the second batch things are looking good, i let the stuff sit over night the next day I go to make the chocolate covering, well it never got hard so it pretty much just melted right off of the marshmellow that were flat and not puffy like I like them to be. So I dip all the marshmellows in the fudge and then let it sit over night. The next day i tasted the marshmellows and I thought oh, these don't look pretty but they taste good, I'll take them to the family party anyway.
Well my uncles had a field day with it, my one uncle said it tasted like tofu. Ok that is not a compliment people.

So I walk outside because all the kids are going on a little boat ride and I wanted to watch (yes a boat ride in 37 degree weather, no wonder we are all sick now) Anyway I walk back in the house they are holding the plate of marshmellows upside down, they were so sticky you could hold the plate upside down without them falling off. So I'm like hahaha your all so funny and I walk back outside again. Well when I came in they are like it is white elephant time and they hand me a number. (I didn't bring anything for the white elephant but they said that was ok someone brought an extra gift) I should have known at this point. They wrapped up my marshmellows and put them in the white elephant, isn't that so mean. I was

I swear I see some of these people once a year if that and they so busted on me all day long. So needless to say the marshmellows were not a big hit at all. I have a picture of them but photobucket is taking forever to load them so I'll have to wait and post a picture later. Oy vey!!!
I might even send a picture to Martha S*tewart so she can see my end product...
