Well today we've officially had our foster baby Estrella for 1 month , she also had her 1st parent & siblings visit today to. When I dropped her off, her sisters came running to give her hug and she kind of hesitated and wanted to start crying but after I walked with her in she was okay. I left when she turned around because I was afraid she'd start crying if she saw me walking away. So I spent my 1 1/2 hrs. at the mall just looking around and doing some shopping, when I returned to pick her up she was so happy to see me. She came running up to me and said mom, her dad gave me this puzzled look but didn't say anything. I was thinking Estrella would for sure cry when we left but she was happy to be leaving and gave her parents a quick kiss and we left! I just don't know how her parents did it, knowing she was leaving and not one tear did they shed. I almost shed a few when I left her and that's knowing that I'd be seeing her in 1 1/2 hrs., I can't imagine knowing that I wouldn't be seeing her again for a month (this would of been me ).

We also got a call on Tuesday that we might be getting another placement sometime this coming week. It's not a for sure, the placement is pending a dna test that's being done. We didn't get a name but all we do know is that she is a healthy 2 month old baby girl.

Wow! That sounds like it went really well. That is just wonderful. You just never know how visits can go. Some times the kids can just be a wreck. But how wonderful that your little one is so happy to just be with you. And I know what you mean about the crying. The first time I dropped Lilly at visitation with her birthfather, (at one week old) I cried!

Hope your next placement works out! Boy, are you gonna be tired.

Oh Ruby, I am glad things went well and I think it just wonderful that Estrella trust you so much that is so important the child feels trust and security and you have given that her. You go mama!!
