Just a general update

Sorry I have been so sparse and not around lately. My heart and head have taken a beating the last few weeks, but hopefully things are resolving themselves.

Work is going much better. I had a meeting and told them if I wasn't needed any longer than they had to let me know, and that so wasn't the case. They know that I am working hard on my adoption and that my heart is there so they are just trying to "get prepared for me not being there." I told them that the money would be nice right now and they understood that, so my hours are what I want them to be. I feel like I can say no now without consequenses.

Our schedules have been totally crazy with basketball, band concerts, birthdays, events, etc. I am looking for a nice relaxing night at home tonight.

My dossier is still sitting on my desk waiting to be taken to be appostiled. My home study agency is still holding things up. It is beyond frustrating. I don't dare say anything to her about how it is stressing me out for fear of her making it out to be unstability or something...LOL!

My IRL friend got her referral for her baby boy from Korea and boy is he a cutie!! She is adopted from Korea and her new son looks just like a mixture of her and her husband!

My adoption support group is growing and is very fun to lead and be at. It makes me feel good to know that it is helping others and me as well.

Yeah these last couple of weeks have really been a roller coaster for you all, I do hope things are on the upswing now.

Glad to hear things are working out at work, you know work is such a big part of life when things aren't good there it really messes with your head.

Crossing my fingers that the social worker gets her rearend in gear and gets you your homestudy PRONTO!!

YEAH!!! For IRL friend who just got the referral!!! I hope they get to bring their son home real soon!

Amen to the SW comment.

I just got back from having an hours massage. LORDY am I sore! I had a huge knot in my neck from all the stress (I tend to grit my teeth and tense up during stress) so I was way overdue to get it worked on. I go back on Monday for another hour's worth of torture...er...I mean TLC.

I still haven't heard anything about the homestudy and I really want to call again, but am going to wait until tomorrow I think.

I found out what I am gettnig for Valentines Day today. A new washer and dryer set...LOL! The front loading kind. How romantic. Sigh. Goes with the bathroom scum buster I got for Christmas. Gotta love my DH, he tries. I was hoping for diamonds after the past few weeks. But this will do. Ain't gonna complain when it cuts my laundry time in half.

Girl, you are to funny!!! I am not much for massages so when I get one it is more like a body rub then a massage but L often goes for the torture sessions too.

One time I got L a massage and then next day I go to like pat her on the back and she about jumped to the skies in agony...but she loved that massage.

A new washer and dryer good for you. Atleast it is the top of the line, my latest washer and dryer purchase was pretty much the cheapest ones I could find that gave the options of hot and cold.

I got heart socks for Valentine's Day---- Go me!!!

I had to laugh about the washer dryer. I can;t complan but my hubby is ofthe romantic type and sometimes all I really want is that pratical stuff. I finally convinced him that a microwave was a way better gift then roses when it cuts cooking time and we can heat left overs.

Glad to hear that you are taking a little time for yourself. Hopefully you will hear something about your homestudy today. That would be make for a good v-day.

I got frontloaders last year for christmas. Oh yea.

There could be worse things though! I'm not expecting a thing from DH this year. Having the weeks we've had (see other post) I'd be surprised if he even remembered.
