Just wondering how it is going with the new kids! Is it just wild?

Wild doesn't even begin to describe what is going on. We had the TDM *don't ask me what that exactly stands for - but basically thats when they decide if the state was justify in taking the kids* The kids were officially declared wards of the state and parents will be given a case plan within the next ten days. So my family has gone from 2 (including my exchange student) kids to 4 and then there is the 6wk old bean growing that is in total making me very tired.

I do know this will not be permenment as these children have native american blood although no current tribal connections; we just know that even if the parents cannot complete their case plan they will need to go to someone who has the same background as the children. So hoping we can touch the children while they are here and that they only have the best in store for them in the future. In meantime we will have a ton of appointments they have to be assess for learning, development, sexual, and medical - apparently there is concern on all fronts - poor things. The five year has said somethings that makes me so sad that in some regards she has been exposed to so much; Like I don't like it when soandso gets drunk and smokes crack. Jadon my bioson wouldn't even know such terms . . .

Oh and on yet another note we are doing respite for 3 kids 5 and under next weekend - crazy we will have a total of 6 kids for 2 days ages 7 months to 5 years old . . .

Oh my gosh Jenn you make me tired just thinking about all you have going on right now!!! I completely forgot you also take in exchange students. I swear you are living the life I alwasy wanted to live. My DP would never in a million years allow all those kids around. Heck I'm fighting to just get two out of the deal.

I know you are tired but I can only imagine how lucky and blessed you are all feeling right now. You go girl!!!
