Default Intro to Me!!

Hi Ladies!

I have been over in the IUI board for quite a while and now I am ready for this to be my home board!

After dealing with severe endo for way too long I have decided to go through with my hysterectomy at the end of the summer. I never thought it would feel so good to have that decision made.

Dh and I have a son- 16 months. From the time he was 12 weeks old we have been TTC#2 with no luck. 9 months of fertility drugs and 1 shot at IUI left me an emotional wreck. It made me really admire all the women that have been going through IF treatments for way longer than me...

Anyhow....my son was a complete miracle. I showed up for yet another endo surgery and right before they knocked me out the nurse came flying in with a
positive pee stick so there was my son!!

Since then we have realized that unless I want to endure months and potentially years of more pain while trying for something that physically isnt going to happen....I need to get fixed! My endo is so bad that they cant operate on it anymore as a quick fix.

So....thanks you for letting me join you girls and I truly look forward to getting to know all of you and am excited to hear all of your stories, wisdom, and success throughout this journey with you!

If you ever have any advice please share it!

Adriane

Welcome Adriane!! I too have really bad Endo and know the pain you go though. I'm sorry because I know first hand it is NOT fun!!! I had both fallopian tubes removed and one ovary due to a cyst that got infected after my IVF cycle in Sept. I'm still very sad about it, but it had to be done.

I look forward to following your adoption journey

That's a crazy story about your son and surgery!!

Adriane! Isn't it great when you finally make a decision to go forward with adoption? We are glad you joined us here. We're not a very big group, but we are a caring group and we will be very happy to cheer you on during your adoption journey and beyond.

I'm glad you are going to finally resolve your endo. My SIL had the surgery done in her 30's. She was miserable for years and years. She never did get to be pregnant, but she was lucky enough to adopt a precious little girl from Korea. A few months ago she just became a grandma!

Adoption is fantastic.
