I've been lurking now for a while and finally decided to join this board. My name is Ruby and dh is Omero were raising my 14 yr. old niece Valerie who's been living with us for a little over 3 yrs. now. We are recently licensed foster to adopt parents and are trying to patiently to be found a placement. We've only been licensed 1 week, as of today, but we're so ready to have someone placed in our home. We only got licensed for 1 child since that's all the room I have for right now, 0-12 yrs. of age (female) so here's hoping our wait isn't to long!
Anyways I hope to make this my home board and to get to know each one of you better.
I'm so glad you decided to de-lurk and join us. My name is Marian and I have a DD from a DEFET. She is 3yo, almost 4. I also have a 10.5 mo old foster baby girl. We are waiting to see if her aunt is going to take her. If not, then we are going to adopt her!
Welcome. I am Amber. DH and I have been waiting to adopt a domestic infant 0-9 months. We've been waiting 7 months now. The wait can be hard but since you're doing foster to adopt I am sure you will have a shorter wait. Praying for you.

good luck Ruby, my dh and i have went through 5 round of iui and finally decided to adopt through our county child sevices but just when we were about to start classes someone we know asked us to adopt the child she is pg with so after thinking about it, we decided too. So December 27th we should have a baby boy.

My Mom LOVES the name Ruby. When we first started TTC, she asked if there was a "Ruby" yet. And, when we were looking for dogs, she wanted to name them Ruby, you name it, she wanted to name it Ruby.
