Holy Moly Macaroni! Baby stuff!
What kind of baby stuff will I need for a 9-14 month old??
Other than the crib, changing table, car seat, high chair, stroller, pack and play (lawdy this list is long already!) and toys galore?
Any suggestions?

Re: Holy Moly Macaroni! Baby stuff!
A ton of diapers... (oh, I never used my changing table). lets see... blankets galore, big ones, little ones, cloth diapers to wipe up everything.
I made a list of like 30 things that Hope would need for Lilly at 15 months, I'll go see if I can hunt it down.

Re: Holy Moly Macaroni! Baby stuff!
I have been wondering the same thing.
I put down so far an tubby towels, tubby seat, washclothes, monitor, diapers, wipes, long sleeve onsies, short sleeve onsies, socks, baby grooming kit, first aid kit, shampoos, soaps, lotions, toys, teethers, cd lullabies, toys with lights and sound, blocks, books galore, bottles, first steps bowls, sippy cups, pacifiers
That is all I got so far. It is so hard when your not starting from newborn I think because then you are really looking for age appropriate items. YKWIM?

I want to throw in that you will want silverware for first users. They like to play with it at the table and it's just plain fun! Also K loved toys that she could stand behind and support herself with! I agree, with Marian, we didn't use the changing table after about 5 months, it's just easier to change on the fly istead of going to that room to do it!

Re: Holy Moly Macaroni! Baby stuff!
I agree no changing table needed and I think I would hold off on pacifiers till you know if they will get used. They are pretty expensive and could use that on other things. The pack-n-play might be questionable depending on how mobile your lo is. My friends son is 16 months and jsut uses it as a jungle gym to climb out of. I ditto the toys and books.

Re: Holy Moly Macaroni! Baby stuff!
Am I the only mom that still uses a boatload of baby bibs pretty much each and every day? They don't seem to show up at the top of anybody's baby necessity list, but lots of whopping big, multi-colored bibs are one thing that I couldn't live without. Spare me anything white and terry cloth, they look stained and icky after one use. The ones with lots of active print do better, the stains just blend in with the landscape.

Re: Holy Moly Macaroni! Baby stuff!
Good point msbaby. I think I have 40-50 bibs. DH thinks I'm nuts but they are invaluable, especially when you have a baby with reflux and or/teething!
I don't remember if it's been mentioned but of course you'll need a high chair and one or two of those little kid chairs that are just their size (we have an Elmo one and a pull out princess stuffed couch) are great. It gives them their own place to sit. And Chrissy is very much correct. They love toys that help them stand. Around a year old they love things to push and pull like a baby stroller or pull toys.
I guess I could go on and on. But, don't forget the toothbrush!
